Waking the giant

the ground began to shake out of nowhere like an earthquake. Birds bolted fast off the summer trees. All of a sudden the town hall statue came to life wrenching himself off the freshly cut grass. His hands were the size of a school bus. Finally, he stood up and he looked at me and he could smell my fear! Then… BOOF BOOF BOOF he jogged off at the speed of a Ferrari. Screams echoed through the tall building that surrounded me. I saw in his run he was hungry!

Get into gaming

 Walt: Understand what gaming is

I learned that Games provide a 23 percent gain over traditional learning.

I also learned that people get millions from gaming.

  •

  • find 5 interesting facts about gaming
  • 1.More than 214 million people in the United States today play video games one hour or more per week. 75% of all U.S. households have at least one person who plays. In sum, 64% of U.S. adults and 70% of those under 18 regularly play video games.

  • 2. Thirty-six percent of adolescents (80% of boys and 20% of girls) played video games. On average, gamers played for an hour on the weekdays and an hour and a half on the weekends.

3. Where did it all start? Obviously, you can trace mobile games back to the earliest mobile phones, but mobile games didn't really take off until Nokia launched Snake. Still the most famous mobile game, Snake first appeared in 1997 on the Nokia 6610.

4. For instance, research from the U.S. Department of Defense discovered that gamers are considerably smarter than non-gamers. ... Gamers perform 10 to 20 percent higher in terms of perceptual and cognitive abilities compared to non-gamers, according to the research.

5. In 2020, it was calculated that women accounted for nearly 41 percent of all gamers in the United States, a slight increase over the previous year. The global gaming industry has been developing at a fast pace in recent years
